Vlad Vayngart
Head Tutor/Founder
Bio:
UpLevel Skills was founded by Vlad Vayngart out of a genuine passion for helping children discover their potential. After more than 25 years in software engineering, Vlad decided it was time to return to what had always inspired him the most — teaching and mentoring
He began his tutoring journey in 1993 at the University of Illinois at Chicago, working in the tutoring center and helping students with college-level Algebra and Calculus. After graduation, he continued tutoring—this time at home—guiding his three sons through preK to 12th grade, all of whom performed at high levels in advanced math courses
Today, Vlad works with students from preK math all the way through AP Calculus, helping them build strong foundations, grow their confidence, and truly enjoy the process of learning—both in the classroom and beyond

Bio:
I’m a certified high school science teacher and fourth-year medical student with over 10 years of tutoring experience. My goal is to help students not only master the material but also build the study strategies and confidence to succeed independently
Before entering medicine, I taught high school Biology, Physics, and Chemistry full-time. My background in neuroscience and chemistry allows me to connect theory to real-world applications, helping students see why what they’re learning matters
In my sessions, I emphasize two things: clear understanding and effective learning techniques. I adapt each lesson to your unique learning style so that you can retain concepts and apply them across future classes. Many of my students who once struggled have gone on to earn A’s and B’s and regain their confidence in science and math
Above all, I care deeply about your growth. My goal isn’t just to get you through your next exam; it’s to help you learn how to learn
I also advise students through every stage of the college and medical school admissions process, from crafting authentic and powerful personal statements to refining activity descriptions and preparing for interviews with clarity and confidence
